Pastor’s Pondering

We are excited to announce a new Outreach Mission at Stone Presbyterian Church: The Stone Pres Baby Pantry! This initiative grew out of our Stone Thursday Community — a group dedicated to connecting with others through Christ Jesus. As we meet each month for dinner, devotional reflection, and conversation, we ask ourselves a vital question: “What role should the church play in today’s world? How can it remain relevant and faithful?” We reflected deeply and felt called to make a meaningful difference within our local community.

Diaper need is a silent crisis affecting nearly half (47%) of families with young children across the United States. With enthusiastic support from our Session, we have partnered with the CNY Diaper Bank — the largest diaper bank in New York State — to launch a diaper pantry for Northern New York. Through this initiative, we seek to help alleviate that burden by providing a consistent and accessible source of clean diapers to families in need throughout our area.

Throughout the summer, we will be connecting with local organizations and families to understand the specific needs within our community. Our goal is to open the Baby Pantry in early 2026, making a hopeful and faithful difference in the lives of families across Northern New York.

Stay tuned for ways you can give, volunteer, and help build this vital ministry as together we live out Christ’s call to love and serve those in need. Thank you for your faithful prayers and ongoing support — it is a profound blessing to walk this path of service together.

We invite you to continue praying for this new initiative, for the Stone Thursday Community as it grows, and for every family this ministry will touch with Jesus’ love.
